Decorations
These are jumpy fish, they always prefer a dim light and a dark background. A dark-colored gravel as a substrate with java fern and hornwort planted at the back and sides to create hiding places. You need plenty of open space in the middle.
You should only keep plants that are not very appetizing as these fish have a taste for plants. The alternative is to use plants that are artificial.
Feeding
These fish are plant and eaters and will eat any plant they find tasty.
Good quality plant based flakes and algae wafers are suitable, however cucumbers, peas, lettuce and other leafy greens will also be appreciated.
